Just want an explanation on how yr bookings work. This is the 3rd time we’ve stayed at the Geraldton hotel and each time we request marina views on 2nd or top floor. We get told at time of booking there’s a room available but cant guarantee the floor request. If you know there’s a room available how can you not know which floor? Why do we have to wait till we check in to be told. Also to get there and you have ground floor would be very disappointing especially paying the same rate. Never have we come across a hotel with a booking systems like this.
The lady at reception was trying to explain the reason but doesn’t not make sense to
us.
Also, I was told we wouldn’t get charge on our credit card until we checked out. When we went to checkout and wanting to use a different card we were told it had already been debited and an email was sent with the invoice. Again we were disappointed with this, you get told something and you go and do a different thing. Not very good service.
We love staying at the Mantra Geraldton, but if it’s going to be treated like some kind of lottery system as to which room you get, we may have to look at staying somewhere else.
The room was great but cleaners need to pay a little more attention to the balcony ares, not very impressive to see previous occupants mess which wasn’t much but should be spotless as per the rooms are.
